Reading Notes Part B: Noah: The Inmates of the Ark

Plot:
In this passage we learn more about Noah and the animals.  Noah was tasked with getting two of each animal, male and female on board, so that way the earth could be repopulated when the water went away.  The passage describes the beauty of most the animals and how stunning they were when Noah and his family gazed upon them.  After Noah had gotten most of the animals on the boat he and his family encountered over seven hundred thousand people who were trying to get into the ark.  As the people cried out for Noah to be fair, he flipped the table on them and asked them why they didn't repent for all the years they had been on Earth.  Why were they just waiting until the flood had come to ask for forgivness Noah asked.  As people tried to storm the ark, the animals started to defend it and killed thousands of people. As the flood waters started to reach them, Noah hesitated because he did not feel like he and his family were worthy of being saved by God's grace.  What Noah did not know is that God knew that Noah and his family were not corrupt like the rest of the world and had lived justly and honorably.

Questions:
Why did Noah not let anyone else on?  I mean, sure they had lived an evil life but could he make them confess their sins to God and be forgiven?  It seems kind of crazy that God would not let anyone of those people to ask him into their life to be changed. Why were there animals that were too big to fit on the ark?  I wonder where these animals are right now because I think it would be pretty awesome to see them this day and age.

Reaction:
I was amazed to read that there were animals that were too big for the ark.  I thought that was only in fairytales but the depiction of how big the animals were was astounding.  What I most liked about his passage was the Reem was so massive and tall that all know had to do was tie it to the back of the ark and just walked with the boat when the flood came.  Another fact I thought was interesting was that the animals protected the ark when all the sinners tried to bust down the doors to enter.  I had never heard of that happened.  Noah was also a badass when he spoke to the people and shamed them for only turning to God when their lives are doomed.  That kind of relates to the real world, we hear people who are murders say they have found God only after committing serious crimes.  It is hard to believe that they really want to change for the better.
